South African Gospel Music Artist Thumeka Lothe Drops 10th Album
Outstanding traditional gospel music minister Thumeka Lothe is out with the release of her 10th album titled, Asiphelelanga kushota uYesu.
Thumeka Lothe who has been singing professionally for 23 years now came to limelight with the release of her single ‘Hana’. The song reached gold status and the song is till date remains her signature song even after a decade of its release.
In this new album, Thumeka featured top singers, the likes of Nqobile Ngidi, Reverend Nkomfa and her husband, Eric Lothe.
I have been in the industry for many years now,” she pointed out. “And I can tell you now it is not easy. But what is important is to know God. He will make possible all that your heart desires.
Lothe says the album is loaded with love and peace and will accommodate people of all ages.
The youth are not left behind on this album, because they like complaining. You will hear them say our songs are for the elderly only.
According to her, she is helping a lot of young people to help them prosper music wise.
The gift God gave us is not for us only but to help grow His kingdom,” Lothe said. “We must equip others, so they can also go and be a light to others. We were brought here on earth to serve others with our skills hence I am giving young people lessons.
Lothe has shared the stage with many known artists in the genre, such as Dumi Mkokstad, Bethusile Mcinga, and many more.
She says challenges faced by recording artists are similar.
Our CDs are sold for R10 in the streets, and we have to sing at taxi ranks to make money,” she said. “We have no recording labels, and that is a big challenge for us, but we trust in God in all of this.”
Lothe advises up-and-coming artists not to be lured by money. “Do it because you love it, not because there is money in it,” she says.
Money runs out, but love never does. There is healing on this album, and I encourage people to rush to the stores to get it.

She had her primary education in a village called Sannu before she later proceeded to Elekuro Secondary Modern School in Ibadan but left to Ejigbo High School in Lagos State, where she finally dropped out to focus on gospel music. Her debut album titled Adun-Igbeyawo was released in 1998 but was famous for the album title Opelope Anointing, a music she scripted and recorded in one day. She launched her 20th album on October 26, 2014 and in attendance were renowned Nigerian gospel singers, Joseph Adebayo Adelakun, Tope Alabi, Bola Are and Funmi Aragbaye. In 2010, she established "Opelope Anointing Foundation (OPAF), a charity initiatives, Non-Governmental Organization.
4. Ebenezer ObeyEbenezer Obey (born 3 April 1942 as Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi in Idogo, Nigeria), nicknamed the "Chief Commander", is a Nigerian jùjú musician.
He began his professional career in the mid-1950s after moving to Lagos. After tutelage under Fatai Rolling-Dollar's band, he formed a band called The International Brothers in 1964, playing highlife–jùjú fusion. The band later metamorphosed into Inter-Reformers in the early-1970s, with a long list of Juju album hits on the West African Decca musical label.
Obey began experimenting with Yoruba percussion style and expanding on the band by adding more drum kits, guitars and talking drums. Obey's musical strengths lie in weaving intricate Yoruba axioms into dance-floor compositions. As is characteristic of Nigerian Yoruba social-circle music, the Inter-Reformers band excel in praise-singing for rich Nigerian socialites and business tycoons. Obey, however, is also renowned for Christian spiritual themes in his music and has since the early-1990s retired into Nigerian gospel music ministry.

He was trained as Electrical engineer at Kareem Electrical Engineering Company in the city of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. Having completed his training in 1968, he joined the Nigerian Army and was deployed to the Nigerian Army Barrack, the Engineering Construction Regiment at Ede in Oyo State. He was baptized at Christ Apostolic Church in 1972, the same year he began his evangelism.

She is the youngest daughter of the Nigerian educationist and politician D.K Onwenu. Patrick Obasi was born in Mmaku, a small town in Awgu local government area of Enugu State, Nigeria where he began his singing career. He released his debut album Bianu Kanyi Kele Jehova and went on to release over 15 studio albums.
Obasi died in his residence on 12 October 2012 after suffering from kidney failure.

After successfully hosting the Sammie Okposo Praise Party in the London, Amsterdam and Germany with Ukraine slated for May 1st 2019, International multiple award-winning music minister Sammie Okposo is set to release a new album. His last album, SWAG which was released October 2017, was such a huge success that the songs on the album are still trending.
The new album titled Sammie Okposo Live in London is a live audio and DVD recording, recorded before an audience in London.
According to the singer;
‘’It’s a 2 in 1 release of both Audio and DVD in one pack. It will be also available on digital stores online. I am excited to bring this body of work to the kingdom and my fans all over the world’’.
This album will be released on the 30th of May 2019, which doubles as his birthday. The music maestro as he is fondly called will be releasing one or two singles off the album before the release proper.
Sammie, who received an unusual outpouring of anointing during the Deeper Worship Intensive in Orlando, Florida, USA, from God through the renowned Pastor William McDowell, is set to give ‘More’ of that anointing in psalms and sacred songs, as the Lord has declared that ‘’There is More”.

LIMA 2018: No music in the world makes sense without the talents from here – Pastor Chris Oyakhilome
The recently concluded International Pastors’ and Partners’ Conference (IPPC) saw some of the biggest names in the Gospel scene get awarded for their hard work.
The conference is an annual event where talented individuals get awarded during the final ceremony, the LoveWorld International Music and Arts Awards (LIMA). The awards recognize gospel artists that make the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM) what it is.
The awards celebrate not just music, but also other forms of performing arts such as dance. None of this could be made possible without Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the president of Believers LoveWorld (BLW).

Who is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome?
Born in 1963 in Nigeria, Chris Oyakhilome is the Founding President of Believers’ LoveWorld Incorporated, situated in Lagos, Nigeria. The BLW, also known as Christ Embassy, was inaugurated in 1987 and is now a vast, global network of churches.
Today, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is loved by millions of people worldwide and is lovingly called the ‘Man of God’.

The annual conference, held in the last quarter of the year, celebrates and summarizes the BLW achievements of the year. Attended by main partners and senior members of the Believers’ LoveWorld Nation, this conference runs for a week consisting of several events, ending with a great celebration at the LIMA awards ceremony.
The IPPC 2018 took place in Lagos, Nigeria, at the at the LoveWorld Convocation Arena. It concluded on November 18th, 2018, with the LIMA award ceremony.

The annual award show is attended by some of the most well-known names from the international Gospel Music circle. It is widely known to break barriers and this year, for the first time ever, the ceremony was aired live on the LoveWorld USA network.
During the ceremony, performing artists and nominated for several categories including Producer of the Year, Most Outstanding Group Performance, Band of the Year, and more. Each category received numerous nominees but, of course, only the best took a trophy home.

The Pastor coined the event “the most successful to date”. He also talked about the success of Christ Embassy while highlighting the accomplishments of the members of Believers LoveWorld.
Pastor Chris specifically highlighted the major milestone the organization recently achieved. In the year 2018 alone, the BLW succeeded in distributing over 1 billion copies of Rhapsody of Realities, a devotional piece created to inspire people.
The Rhapsody of Realities is available in 1,000 languages, which is a feat on its own. The aim of the organization is to make the book available to as many people as possible. In fact, today it is the second most highly translated book in the world, second only to the Bible.
According to the organization, this is one of their biggest achievements. A report released by the organization said:
“Over the course of 17 years, a little over 1.3 billion copies of the devotional were distributed in every known and inhabited nation under Heaven. This was last year, 2017’s achievement. In this special ‘Year of the Supernatural’ almost all of the 17-year distribution was accomplished, fulfilling the scriptures that all the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of God.”
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome thanked the delegates and appreciated their hard work saying, “Tonight, we’re recognizing all of your Top Partners. We exceeded our goals. Several outreaches, definite impacts. We raised our visions and we got there. We’re looking at the next pedestal from there. The Lord gave us much favors. Amazing love…Thank you for making our dreams come true”.
Moreover, he also appreciated the music in general saying, “No music in the world makes sense without the talents from here.”
However, the main aim of the event, as always, was to guide people to become closer to God. Pastor Chris ended the event by reminding people of why they had gathered together saying, “[The] purpose is a driving force”, adding “your joy should be in the thing that the Father asked you to do.”

The event was an enormous success, receiving lots of media coverage as well with many praising the efforts to educate attendees about social media networking and digital marketing.
